Where there is affordable housing near the DC area? I want no more than 20 minutes from the city.?

I'm switching from DC to Atlanta. Here ATL I live in Buckhead, the upscale part of the ATL. I have granite, hardwood, stainless steel appliance, secure building with underground parking .. I know exactly everything I can to get what I'm looking for, but I would at least like a few .. lol I want to live near DC, or in it. I was in Arlington, Alexandria, NW or SW DC said are some good areas, but IDK if I will get my price range in these areas. I'm looking forward to no more than $ 1600/mth spend on rent.

Although I can not be particularly talked about the current housing prices, I can highly recommend Arlington as a place to live. Sure, many public services, good Transport links, good restaurants and shopping, bike paths, green spaces, parks, dog, and a local government that receives high marks from its citizens. Oh, and Arlington is one of the few suburbs that your "20 minutes" to meet – either by driving, by Metrorail, Metrobus carried by cycling (year Few people commute from Arlington to DC via the bike paths) or even – if you live in Rosslyn and work in Georgetown, on foot!
